Advisory report by the Environmental Impact Assessment Committee on HyStock published

EnergyStock, in collaboration with Nobian, has drawn up an environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the HyStock project. A fixed part of the permit procedure is that the EIA Commission, as an independent organization, advises the Ministry of Climate and Green Growth (KGG) on the content of an EIA.

EnergyStock and Nobian informed the local community about the content of the EIA during information evenings on March 20 and 24, 2025.

On March 26, 2025, the EIA Commission published its final report on the environmental impact assessment and the Preferred Alternative (PA). The environmental impact assessment outlines the consequences for the environment. The licensing authority can take this into account in its decision-making on the permit application.

In its advice, the EIA Commission concludes that the investigation into the possible consequences for the environment has been carried out thoroughly. In addition, the Commission considers the investigation to be well documented and that a lot of relevant background information has been used. The Commission also requests further explanation or substantiation on a number of points.
This advisory report can be found on the EIA Commission's website.

EnergyStock and Nobian would like to thank the EIA Commission for its advice. Further clarification has been provided on two points in a joint response from EnergyStock and Nobian. You can read this here.
