Open Season ceased, with new commercial process to be started later this year

Recent developments like the delay in the construction of the Delta Rhine Corridor, challenging timelines in the market and HyStock’s customized subsidy arrangement still being in development, led to the decision to cease the Open Season process for the first cavern of HyStock. The intention is to start a new commercial process later this year, openly accessible to the market.

Hydrogen storage is essential for a functioning hydrogen market. Therefore, the project will continue unabated with the development of the caverns as a reliable and sustainable solution for hydrogen storage. All (technical) activities will continue as planned, including the permitting process. HyStock still aims on having the first cavern operational before 2030.

Should you wish to be kept informed on the new commercial process for hydrogen storage, please do not hesitate to share your contact details at: [email protected].
